About 2 Wheel Driven
Wild Places. Quiet Minds.
Welcome to 2WheelDriven. Good to have you along for the ride.
This is raw adventure motorcycle riding across Australia and beyond—remote tracks, long ks, and the kind of riding that strips everything back to what matters.
No polished travel. No staged moments. Just real rides through mud, heat, isolation—and everything that comes with it.
The Story Behind It
My name’s Ed. I’ve been riding motorbikes for nearly 40 years. Riding has always been about freedom. The wind in my face. Experiencing everything first hand as it hits you, unfiltered - the smells, the sounds, the light, the terrain - it always felt real. And that's what I wanted from life. I never liked pretence, anything standing in the way of the truth. For me bikes represent the raw reality of life.

My teens and twenties were a blur. I rode throughout on bikes including Honda Blackbird, Suzuki Bandit 1200, Triumph Tiger 900, Kawsaki Ninja. Lost in mental health trauma I completed a doctorate and got drawn into corporate life.

But it didn't fit. I was drained by the atmosphere. The blurred lines. The lack of clarity. Exhausted by the culture and spat out the other side, my head exploded. I was diagnosed with complex PTSD at 48.
I was highly qualified at the foot of a senior executive career. I made the call to walk away from corporate life. To stop forcing a life that didn’t fit. Stop pretending I cared about leather sofas, matching coffee tables and the pursuit of happiness through money. And get back to something real. Being outdoors. Understanding my place in the natural world instead of the material world. Life behind the the bars of a motorcycle instead the windows of office job.
What relieved my symptoms and gave me mental reset was the quiet of the open road and the peace of the outback. The decision was clear - ride for recovery - ride for life. Live to ride.
Ride for recovery. Outride the fog of a noisy world.
Because out here, something shifts. The noise drops. The mind settles.
And for a while at least—things make sense again.
