Outriding the Fog

Why This Journey Matters

Mental health challenges affect millions of Australians.

Too often, people face anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, burnout and isolation without speaking openly about what they're experiencing.

For me, riding has become more than a hobby. It has become a way to reconnect with the present moment, find clarity, and regain perspective.

Outriding the Fog was created to turn one personal journey into a broader conversation about mental health, resilience and hope.

This is not a race. It is not an endurance challenge.

It is an opportunity to explore some of Australia's most remote landscapes while encouraging conversations that might help someone realise they are not alone.

Transparency & Funding

Outriding the Fog is independently organised and self-funded by 2WDriven.

All costs associated with planning and undertaking the journey—including fuel, accommodation, motorcycle maintenance, permits, communications and content production—are personally funded unless otherwise disclosed.

Where a charity fundraising campaign is established, 100% of donations made through the official charity fundraising page will go directly to the nominated charity.

Any separate "Support the Ride" contributions are entirely optional and are used solely to assist with the costs of delivering the journey and sharing its stories.

We believe transparency matters. Supporters will always be able to clearly see whether contributions are directed to the charity or to supporting the expedition itself.

One Journey. A Bigger Conversation.

Sometimes the most important step is simply starting the conversation.

If this journey helps even one person feel less alone, it will have been worth every kilometre.
